Make a Want-List
This is a fun list to make. Imagine all the things you want in a house from a back porch sitting area to a kitchen big enough to prep for the queen’s visit, write down all your wants. Then make a copy and hand this list to your realtor. It’s our job to find you a home you love. This list will help tremendously. You can also include things you definitely don’t want to help your realtor find your perfect space as well.
Update your home

Look at School Districts
If you have school-age children, moving to a house in a better school district can help your children have a leg up in the world. Research which type of school district you want for your family and let your realtor know to begin your house search!
Hire Movers and Designers
If your life is already busy, find the perfect house and hire a team of movers to get the job done. Once those boxes are in each room, hire a designer to prep the space before you unload all those boxes. Doesn’t that sound like a dream come true?
Location Location Location
This isn’t just an annoying saying all of us realtors came up with, it’s a fact that the location of your home can be life-giving. Imagine your home being right next to work. It would eliminate the need to wake up even earlier to beat the traffic. Or imagine your home right next to your child’s school where they could walk home safely and eliminate any worries you might have.
