OKC Fall Family Fun Guide

With most of our lives being remote and virtual now, getting out of the house is essential for everyone in the family to burn off some energy and get some fresh air. Whether you have little ones, are empty-nesters, single, in a relationship, or just want something fun to do with friends, these fall activities in Oklahoma City will help you celebrate all the beautiful things associated with fall and explore new areas in the city!

Oklahoma Hall of Fame “Fall Y’all!”

If you’re looking for a one-stop-shop, the Fall Y'All - Free Family Fun! festival at the Oklahoma City Hall of Fame Gaylord-Pickens Museum plans to feature a one-day event with several outdoor activities including pumpkin painting, plantings, crafts, carnival games, and a screening of Charlie Brown and The Great Pumpkin. Children are also highly encouraged to show off their Halloween costumes and a prize will be given to the best Oklahoma-themed outfit! Their free event is scheduled for October 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Social distancing and precautionary measures will be taken by all staff and is also recommended for all visitors to follow.

Braum’s “An Affair Of The Heart”

My crafty friends will love this one! On October 23-25, Oklahoma’s largest contemporary craft show, An Affair of the Heart, will be in town at the OKC State Fair Park.  This event features nearly 800 booths of all pastimes including handmade goodies, gourmet food items, jewelry, up-cycled furniture, clothing, home décor, handcrafted lotions & soaps, and more. In accordance with COVID-19 restrictions, masks will be required indoors and social distancing is asked of all attendees.

Hallowmarine at the Oklahoma Aquarium

For the first time, the Oklahoma Aquarium Hallowmarine event will be held on nine nights to give visitors the opportunity to reduce the spread and have some family fun time! Guests can expect fun Halloween activities such as a Trick-or-Treat candy trail which will lead you around the marine life and exhibits and give you the chance to interact with some sea creatures! Children who wear their Halloween costumes can even win some prizes! For dates and details on their safety protocols, visit their website.

Rustic Roots Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze

If you’re up for a mini-road trip with the family, the Rustic Roots Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze in Lamont is the place to be this fall. About an hour and a half north of Oklahoma City, you can participate in a pumpkin patch, corn maze, petting zoo, hay fort with a giant slide, jump pad, hayride, and even more for just $10 admission! Families are welcome to bring coolers and enjoy a picnic on the farm. They are open Tuesday-Sunday until October 31 with select times, so visit their website for more details.

Oklahoma River Cruises

Enjoy a crisp, fun afternoon or evening with Oklahoma River Cruises this fall. The company is offering specials now through November 22 on Thursdays-Sundays at the Regatta Park Landing. Families are welcome to join the River Tour, though adults looking to blow off some steam are encouraged to experience the Cocktail Cruise. While enjoying a cold beverage or glass of wine, guests can learn about the history of the Oklahoma River, see wildlife and the views of the city, and admire the beautiful fall scenery. Reservations are required, so visit their website to start booking. Social distancing procedures will also be put in place.
