Whether you are new to the area, new to my site, or not new to either, learning about (and taking) day trips around the state can be such a fun way to experience new things, get out of the city, and make memories with your family and friends. Plus, with it being summer, now is the perfect time to get away if even for the day!

Living in the OKC metro area means you have lots of options for day trips, but below are a few of my favorites. I’ve tried to include destinations that are fun for my nature lovers and some for those of us who love our AC (haha!). With summertime, comes swimming, bar-b-q’s, and hanging out friends and family. But, that’s not all summertime brings. It also brings heat and added to-do lists for many people as they enter this season. I am in the same boat as you with those seamlessly endless to-do lists.
